It’s stories like this that make me wonder if deportation actually does anything but cost us money. A 31-year-old Mexican national who was deported twenty times by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) attacked a 65-year-old woman and raped her after he moved to a sanctuary city.
Sergio Jose Martinez broke into the home of a 65-year-old woman, tied her up, held a knife to her and raped her in the sanctuary city of Portland, Oregon.
He then stole her Prius and was found by police sexually assaulting another woman at knifepoint in the basement of a parking garage beneath a building.
He fled the scene, but police chased him through a neighborhood and captured him at a nearby apartment.
However, that’s only the latest in a long line of crimes this man has committed.
According to court records, he has not only been deported 20 times from the united States, but has a long criminal history that includes burglary, battery, drugs, trespassing, possession of a stolen vehicle and reckless endangerment.
According to KOIN 6, he is thought to have been involved in multiple attacks in Portland, not just the rape that occurred on Monday evening.
Martinez faces charges of multiple counts of 1st-degree robbery, 1st-degree kidnap, 2nd-degree assault, 1st-degree burglary, 1st-degree sodomy and 1st-degree sex abuse.
Criminal aliens are drawn to the protections provided by sanctuary jurisdictions like the City of Portland and Multnomah County according to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “When cities like Philadelphia, Boston or San Francisco advertise that they have these policies, the criminals take notice,” AG Sessions told the police officers gathered at a Las Vegas conference center. “According to a recent study from the University of California Riverside, cities with these policies have more violent crime on average than those that don’t.”
“Some 300 jurisdictions in this country refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities regarding illegal aliens who commit crimes — even MS-13 gang members,” Session stated. “These jurisdictions are protecting criminals rather than their law-abiding residents.”
In the mean time, officials in Portland continue to protect and welcome criminal aliens.
Cities like Portland should be ostracized from society as they are not about either protecting their citizens nor bringing real justice upon criminals who commit crimes like Mr. Martinez.
He certainly won’t be facing a just punishment of death, but will probably live in government housing (prison) on the taxpayers’ dime, eat food paid for by the sweat of the working people of Oregon, and possibly other states if he is incarcerated in federal prison, and then released only to commit the same crimes when he is older.
Sanctuary cities in the US are merely homes for every evil, vile criminal to lay in wait to prey on the innocent. It’s time the people rose up and dismantled these abominations.
