If you are like the majority of everyday Americans, you probably have little knowledge of the dangers and possible long-term effects of having a smart-meter installed on your house by your local power company. In fact, I am going to go one better and guess that many Americans, and perhaps even some of you reading this article, do not know what a smart-meter is at all.
To summarize, a smart-meter is basically the next step in automation of utilities; as the smart-meter sends the information about your power use, via wireless signal, directly to the power company. For the power company, it saves many man hours that would have been used “reading the meter” as they did before the advent of smart-meters.
It all sounds pretty harmless on the surface, and who could blame a company for wanting to save money? Money which will be passed on to the consumer in the form of lower prices (something that we all know is a promise seldom kept). Well, smart-meters are far from harmless. In fact, they are downright dangerous.
In the video update below, I go over a few articles which should prove conclusively that smart-maters are a danger to you, your children and your community.
